Longarm Quilting Services & Pricing

At Butcher Street Quilting, we want your quilt to look it's best! We would like to share some tips for your quilting success.  Prepping your quilt top, backing, and batting is key to a beautiful quilt.  Read on for our expectations, and when you're ready to order, tell us your expectations in the Description Box!

Butcher Street Quilting is able to accept quilts 110 inches wide or less.  The complete pricing grid at the bottom of this page.  

Quilting

Butcher Street Quilting offers two(2) levels of Edge to Edge digital quilting:

Edge 2 Edge - .02 * Per Square Inches of your quilt
Pennyish Pattern E2E - .015 * Square Inches of your quilt

We may offer a reduced rate Pantograph at various times in the year.  The Pennyish Pattern price is automatically calculated for you when you receive your estimate and generally goes from the first to last day of any given month.

Backing

To ensure the best Edge 2 Edge quilting process for your quilt, Butcher Street Quilting needs your backing to be 10" longer and wider than your quilt top.   We will steam your backing as part of our prep process for quilting.  If your backing is not at least 10" wider and longer than your quilt top, we cannot load or quilt your quilt.  

If you need assistance with your backing, the cost to measure, cut, and sew a backing together is $25.

Batting

We prefer you purchase packaged batting from Butcher Street Quilting, but you may send your own.  We have a price chart and descriptions on the Batting page.  When you send batting, our requirement is the batting will be 6" longer and wider than your quilt top.  We reserve the right to refuse any batting not purchased from us.  

We use and recommend batting from Warm Company, Quilters Dream, and Hobbs.   When you purchase your batting from us, we will use one of the premium brands listed, freshly opened for your project.  

Thread Color

Butcher Street Quilting has a Thread Charge of $5.00.  Top and bottom thread can be the same color, or the top thread color can be a different color than your bottom thread color.  Please indicate your preference on your order form.  

Trimming

Butcher Street Quilting does exact trimming.  Check this option on your order form to have your quilt returned to you with a neat, straight edge.

Binding

Butcher Street Quilting will machine sew your binding to your quilt top and hand sew your binding to your quilt back.

Pantographs

Butcher Street Quilting offers hundreds of pantographs choices! Pantographs are organized within categories to keep it simple.  The Pantograph Gallery is laid out the same as the Pantograph Selection in the order form.  Sit back and browse our designs, and make your selections. 

We also offer a special purchase service for your pantograph.  If you have a specific design from a pantograph designer, we offer the service to purchase the design on your behalf and pass the cost on to you.  

Longarm Quilting Prices

Edge to Edge Quilting - 0.020 Edge to Edge quilting at .02 per square inch of your quilt calculated at Quilt Width * Quilt Length.
Pennyish Pattern Quilting - 0.015 Edge to Edge quilting at .015 per square inch of your quilt calculated at Quilt Width * Quilt Length. Must order during the special offer month.
Minimum Fee - 50.000 Minimum project fee
Pantograph Purchase Purchase - 0.000 Cost of Pantograph passed purchased on your behalf
Prepare Backing - 25.000 Measure, cut, and piece fabric for quilt back
Trimming - 15.000 Trim the edges to create a neat, straight edge
Binding - 0.300 Machine sew binding to quilt at .30 per linear inch
Thread Charge - 5.000 Top and bobbin threads used for your quilt. Can be different colors, if you wish.
Bobbin Charge - 1.000 5 bobbins are included in your quilting cost. We charge 1.00 per each bobbin over 5.
Sales Tax - 0.070 Indiana Sales Tax - 7%
